Laser safety scanners are used for contactless monitoring of a freely programmable area and are effective solutions for ensuring safety in manufacturing processes. The scanners do not require the use of additional reflectors, combining a receiver and emitter in one housing and are light and easy to operate and install.
In mobile robotics laser scanners are used for navigation tasks (automated guided vehicle), determining the location and orientation of various objects. In control systems laser safety scanners are used as intrusion sensors, safety barriers, etc.
In conditions of heat, cold, humidity, wind, and sun laser systems must operate reliably. Made in a sturdy industrial case, laser scanners work perfectly at temperatures from -30°C to +50°C in safety-related applications - in ports, perimeter control systems of buildings, access protection, collision prevention on automated controlled vehicles, in conveyor systems, and many others.
Laser measuring systems today already protect many museums, banks and government institutions. These systems allow generating alarm signals before direct intrusion into the premises. Thus, as the system prevents any burglary attempt, robbers do not even manage to enter the building. Such systems are also effective for protecting the perimeters of privately-owned buildings. A laser tracking system consists of a laser scanner, a camera and a specialized computer with software that manages data from the scanner and camera.
